Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for January 6.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Moruya and Tamworth.
MORUYA: RACE 4 @ 3:20 PM
STALLONE (3) couldn't have been more impressive at Orange last start when dominating to win by 7.6L. He should find the front again today from the barrier and while this is tougher, he looks a smart horse going places. Should be making light work of this field once again. PRETTY EYED (11) has always hinted that she has ability but hasn't quite put it together of late. He was good from midfield last start and now gets both the blinkers on and Tommy Berry in the saddle. Drops in weight today and can put her best foot forward. DESERT VOICE (1) wasn't beaten far in a blanket finish last time out at Nowra and she draws a much better gate today. She looks to be building after a long time off the scene and now fourth-up into the campaign, she can make her presence felt. VERMICELLA (4) is a nice horse on the way up and the 1650m trip looks no issue. Watch for her late in the race. CAPICELLA (8) can go on with the job following a nice win last time out.
SELECTIONS: Stallone can get the job done again.

SAVETHEBESTTILLAST (3) copped early interference then made late ground to finish fifth when returning from a 32-week spell last start over 1100m at Scone. That was his first run since switching to the Cody Morgan stable. Bullock goes on today and the extra 100m is ideal. Expect him to improve sharply on that run. Stablemate BRAVARO (9) caught the eye on debut at Quirindi recently, working home from midfield to finish second over today's trip. Draws a bit better today and with the run under the belt can easily go one better. The lightly raced DUBIOUS SIX (5) may improve off a six-week let-up. SAINTLY SANDS (11) is on debut and looks fair enough to be in the finish.
