ROSEHILL SATURDAY
RACE 1: (1) BULL POINT: Easy to make excuses for his last start second over this course and distance on July 6 when he slipped at the start and then worked hard three wide, leaving him with too much to do in the affected ground to run down the smart Eurozone. He recorded an impressive debut win at Randwick at previous start and there is no doubt he is the type who will keep getting better with experience. Eager to see what he can produce on a possible better surface.
RACE 5 (10) BERRIMILLA: Counting on the significant moves to replace girl apprentice with top senior rider and restore blinkers on this talented mare for the fourth start of her current prep to be the keys to getting her back in the winning list. It’s been eight starts since she last wore blinkers and she really doesn’t have to find that much on her recent form, especially her latest start when she went down narrowly in the heavy over 1500m at this course. She returns to her own sex and the drop back in distance will suit.
RACE 8 (11) WHITLAM: Expecting this smart sprinter to show the benefit of his first-up fifth over this same 1100m course on July 6 when he didn’t help his chances by racing too keenly on testing ground. Favourably weighted and well drawn against a similar field should see him to add to his excellent record over this course and distance.
