Mount Nebo last campaign showed his tractability where he performed well both sitting up on the speed and ridden cold.
Third run from a spell, the gelding appears to find a race of questionable depth in which he can capitalise on.
Good third up, course and distance credentials all bode well for Mount Nebo and at the healthy $6.50 quote is worth plenty of consideration.
Race 7 is the Schweppes Benchmark 88 Handicap (2000m) where Jacquinot Bay has his first start over 2000m.
By Galileo, Jacquinot Bay’s pedigree page suggests he will run out the 2000m strong and finds a race of questionable depth.
Most of his rivals are racing well below their best at present and is another who is a good each way proposition.
Both Mount Nebo and Jacquinot Bay will be partnered by Christian Reith.
