The Gary Poletti trained Back To A Walk has displayed plenty of ability in his short career to date and shapes as the best bet at Belmont on Saturday.
Set to resume off the back of a seventh month break the son of Artie Schiller has since trialled very well off a break and given the form behind Platinum Rocker he does appear extremely well placed on the weekend.
More notably he finished a close second behind Elite Belle three starts back and now lobs up into a modest handicap just a kilogram off the limit.
On Timeform weight adjusted ratings he is very well placed and has close to five pounds on his nearest rival on best form and given he is lightly raced we do expect him to take the next step this time in.
He has won fresh previously and is yet to taste defeat at this track with two of his three career victories coming at Belmont.
Currently we have him assessed a 6-4 chance however is priced aggressively we can get him as short as even money and feel he will be very hard to beat on the weekend.
The Simon Miller trained Wild Stratus displayed plenty of ability in her maiden preparation and is tipped to take the next step resuming on Saturday.
In two career starts she beat five subsequent individual winners and her recent trial in the lead up was solid enough.
The engagement of William Pike on the weekend appears one of her biggest pushes as Pike currently strikes at 28% for the Miller stable.
Though no knock on some of the other runners engaged as they also appear progressive however Wild Stratus gives the impression of an above average filly just on time figures alone.
Much like Back To A Walk we have her assessed as a 6-4 chance but on predictive ratings we can get her a lot shorter and wouldn't be all that surprised to see her start very short on the weekend.
