The up and coming jockey went into season 2015/16 off what was a breakout 12 months prior where he rode four Group 3 winners.

Not even a quarter of the way through this season, Clipperton has booted home five Group 2 winners.

His 18 winners have come at a strike rate of 13% and furthermore a profit on turnover of 20.2%.

The Godolphin stable rider can build upon this burgeoning record with a strong book of rides at Randwick on Saturday.

It commences right from the word go with Redoutable Heart looking hard to beat in the Men Of League Members Benchmark 85 Handicap (1400m).

After a winter campaign which culminated with strong showings at Group level, Redoutable Heart resumed ideally in a 1400m Benchmark 78 at Warwick Farm.

He was hitting the line well late with an effort which sees him rating highly amongst this field.

The four-year-old will strip fitter and is expected to appreciate the more spacious Randwick circuit in the opening event on the program.

Out of a half sister (Wiener) to the likes of Snitzel and Hinchinbrook, connections made the decision to geld Redoutable Heart after his Queensland Winter campaign.

In theory, it should make him a more complete racehorse, which can be showcased on Saturday.

He is clearly the up and comer in a race which lacks depth.

Take the even money about Redoutable Heart and get your day at Randwick off to a winning start.

Later in the program, Clipperton partners Sabkhat who contests the Jaycar Electronics Handicap (2000m).

The son of Reset has been solid through three starts this campaign, his last two coming over the Randwick Mile.

He now steps up to the 2000m which in theory the gelding will appreciate.

Sabkhat’s form this campaign reads well, in particular his second up outing when fourth behind Ruling Dynasty who franked the form by winning again last weekend.

With half the field having lined up against each other in a similar race a fortnight ago, Sabkhat provides a breath of fresh air into the race.

The gelding should be somewhere around optimum fitness and can be prominent throughout in the second last event of the program.
