Brisbane Best - December 5

3 minute read

Hesitation has been in good winning form of late and will look to build on that when stepping out at Doomben on Saturday.

The Kelso Wood-trained runner has won two of his last three starts, the most recent coming at this C/D.

Hesitation’s last start win rates well against these on weight adjusted ratings and if she runs up to that effort he will take beating in this.

The three-year-old filly is only lightly raced and open to further improvement here taking on the older horses.

Should be nearing peak fitness here fourth up from a spell and she certainly looks up to winning a race like this.

Earlier in the program Hudson County will head north off some good recent form in Sydney.

The Joe Cleary-trained runner followed up a good win at Warwick Farm with a very narrow second at Rosehill and that form reads well for this.

Drops back to the 2200m for this which should suit and he rates very well against these on weight adjusted ratings.

Gets some 6kg off his main rival Perplexity and Glen Boss will take the ride for the first time.

The five-year-old gelding has really hit his straps in recent times and from barrier 8 will go forward and take plenty of running down.

Perplexity looks the obvious danger having won his last three starts but giving away the weight to Hudson County will be hard pressed winning here.

The current price of $3.70 for Hudson County looks over the odds and he will be hard to hold out.
