Leading trainer Simon Miller appears to hold a mortgage over the two-year-old features at Ascot on Saturday, headed by Atacama Sky and Whispering Brook.

Atacama Sky was well supported on debut and failed to disappoint when leading throughout over 1000m.

Jumping away well from the middle of line he quickly strode up and took the lead with Jason Brown aboard.

Under a good hold rounding the turn, he travelled powerfully and quickly put a space on his rivals when let rip early in the straight.

Just coasting to the line late Atacama Sky went on to score by two lengths and returned decent figures in the process.

Successful in returning time figures ahead of the bare form, Atacama Sky was clearly an above average maiden winner and appears more than capable of taking that next step on Saturday.

Although clearly a step up in grade, his debut winning figure leaves him as clearly the horse to beat and if able to build on that performance, he simply should be too good.

Even money is currently the best price around town and while short enough in some people's eyes, we have him marked as a genuine odds-on chance.

The slight step up in trip will no doubt suit and he is expected to lead them a merry dance with Brown sticking aboard.

Progressive filly Whispering Brook couldn't have been more impressive first up and while we respect the market in regards to her stablemate High Conviction, more than happy to side with the former in the fifth event.

A handy winner on debut last October the daughter of Hinchinbrook has clearly made good improvement off a break when dominant in the Listed Supremacy Stakes at Ascot.

Much like Atacama Sky she never appeared in any doubt when leading throughout in the feature event.

Her performance winning the Supremacy Stakes sees her already an up to scratch Gimcrack winner and if able to hold that form she looks to set a decent standard for her rivals.

Currently better than 5-2 is being offered about her chances which is a more than worthy gamble, we have her marked odds-on.
