Lady Jetsetter can get punters off to a winning start at Doomben on Saturday as she looks to bounce back in the Millie Wright Benchmark 75 handicap (1050m).
The Liam Birchley-trained runner followed up some very good form with a disappointing effort in similar company at this C/D last start when starting one of the more fancied runners.
Form prior to that was very good however, winning second up before just missing when runner up behind Casual Choice in a Benchmark 90 race.
With a good record at the course and over the trip, Lady Jetsetter rates well against her rivals today and looks well in with the 2kg claim for apprentice jockey Matthew Gilliray.
From barrier 3, Lady Jetsetter should get a nice run up on the speed and she will be very hard to hold out if she can return to form.
Spirit Of The Dawn and Global Red look the main dangers although both will need to improve on recent form if Lady Jetsetter runs up to what she is capable of.
Later in the programme Pinch River returns in the Love U Lauren Dooley Open Handicap (1100m).
Featuring in the money all three runs last campaign which included a win over 1200m at this course, Pinch River should run well in this first up with a good record when fresh previously.
From barrier 9 expect him to push forward and settle on the speed and should be ready to fire following a recent barrier trial at Deagon over 850m.
Measures up well against his rivals today with the only slight concern bar plates going on for the first time.
Wicked Intent looks the obvious danger following a very good first up win at this course over 1050m however throughout his career he rarely backs up his fresh effort with a good second up showing.
The current price of $4.50 looks a good each way bet for Pinch River who is only required to carry the 54kg.
Wicked Intent will start the favourite but will need to be at his best to get passed the older runners and happy to take the each way odds about pinch River.
Last week saw Sir Moments unable to make up ground from back in the field off slow tempo whilst Off The Rails saluted giving us another winning week.
