Model Dragon is from the Stokes yard and improved nicely to win a Class 2 over this course and distance.
She got back after being slow out but from this draw, hopefully can race a bit closer now fitter and with more experience.
By Pendragon out of a Montjeu mare, she is bred to be running 2000m in time but that is showing through already in terms of strength.
We may even get some nice odds with others in good winning form.
Giving a rough chance later in the day to a horse who is first emergency in the last as Robert Smerdon takes Tapestry Vision back to Adelaide.
He has been close up twice since a spell in provincial Victoria and this race is not a great deal harder.
It was only last campaign that he won on the main Morphettville track and he’s adept on any type of going.
Just hoping he gets an early indication that he can run so he floats over in time to settle in.
