There is a really good betting card at Morphettville this Saturday.
Darren Weir has a habit of winning races in Adelaide and feature ones at that. In the Morphettville Guineas he has a well-bred youngster ready to fire.
Canalasso was excellent on debut then went to the midweeks and was hardly poor.
He’s raced forward twice so will be looking to overcome the barrier very quickly.
Entered for races like the Caulfield Guineas and Classic, if he’s going to live up that possibility, he has to be winning this.
Despite being nominated for the Bobbie Lewis, the Freedmans have elected to go to Adelaide with Nicoscene and that could be the winning move.
The five year old has won on soft tracks before but not recently. However he’s been in the wrong races at that time.
A G2 winner over this course and distance as a three year old, this is a softer target now and he’s well drawn to race more forward. He could be some value.
