Bullrush can return to the Winner’s Circle third run from a spell in the City Tattersalls Club at Randwick on Saturday.

Kinglike Picture: Racing and Sports

The son of O’Reilly has performed well through two starts this campaign, running fifth on resuming at Rosehill over 1200m before a last start second over 1400m, also at Rosehill.

He now heads to Randwick third up for the City Tattersalls Club Benchmark 83 Handicap (1400m).

This is the deepest the son of O’Reilly has gotten into a preparation having only raced seven times since making his debut as a four-year-old early last season.

He worked through his grades well through that season, recording four consecutive victories, the last of the four coming at this course and distance in a Benchmark 78.

Bullrush recorded his last two successes with Koby Jennings in the saddle who is reunited with the five-year-old here.

From an inside draw the pair will land prominent and are expected to take some catching.

The Lightning Handicap rounds out proceedings where Kinglike appeals at an each way quote.

The entire has returned to Sydney after a forgettable first up showing over 1200m in the Group 2 Bobbie Lewis Quality down the Flemington straight six.

Trainer Gerald Ryan has since kept the Exceed And Excel entire ticking over with an 907m barrier trial which he won comfortably.

Kinglike has raced twice at Randwick and both efforts have been excellent.

His first visit returned a close second to English in the Group 2 Challenge Stakes (1000m).

Two starts later he finished within a length of Japonisme and Counterattack in the Arrowfield 3YO Sprint.

The figures he returned during those two outings see him rating on top amongst this field based on 12 month weight adjusted ratings.

He is drawn well in a capacity field in an event which is likely to be run at a genuine tempo from the outset.

The negative against Kinglike is the prospect of an early speed battle up front with the entire capable of landing prominent from barrier 6.

The addition of the cross over nose band could result in the son of Exceed And Excel settling better underneath Josh Parr on Saturday though who stays aboard Kinglike after their trial win in partnership on October 7.
