The Melbourne Mail - April 22

Another deep card at Caulfield this week and plenty of good betting opportunities for The Melbourne Mail to focus on.

There's plenty of good betting to be done before the last but the feature three-year-old race on the card has caught the eye of the Melbourne Mail and we are looking to get both our bet of the day and our each way play away there.

The current favourite is Sword Of Light and we are happy to be gambling up on her in the last on the strength of her recent form.

She ran particularly well in the strong Bendigo Guineas before stepping up to the mile last time and running strong overall time in confirming the trip was well within her range.

Sword Of Light was well set up for that race, and there may be no more improvement to come, but that may not be required on the strength of that last start rating.

Further to that, under top jock Damien Lane, Sword Of Light looks to roll into the first two or three with little fuss and get every chance to repeat the dose from last time.

Another that looks like settling in the first couple in running is Fanfaron and he makes good each way appeal at better than 15-1 in early betting.

Fanfaron turns around quickly after a solid effort on Monday at Sandown where he set up good overall time in what should prove a decent form race over the mile.

At the top end this is tougher, but his effort on Monday has him rated among the top handful of chances and the quick back up off that run promises to bring out a peak third up.

Given the run he looks to get he's well worth having on side.

Why don't you try to beat the Racing And Sports Team and have a bash at the big dollars on offer in the TopBetta Betting Tournaments this weekend so join up, and take us on.
