King Viv heads north for Kim Waugh and will line up in the D.A Ernst Open Handicap (2000m) at Doomben on Saturday.
The rising five-year-old gelding has been in terrific form this campaign putting two wins together and has not been far away in two outings since then.
King Viv comes off a good run for fourth over this trip at Rosehill last start an was not too far away from the winner on that occasion, running on well from back in the field.
Jeff Lloyd goes on board for the first time and from the midfield draw should find a nice spot around midfield and like he did last start will be getting to the line strongly.
Does not appear to be an overly strong field and having run to a very consistent rating all four runs this campaign if he runs up to that again he can certainly get the win today.
Earlier in the program Live Fast will look to continue his strong recent form in the Benchmark 75 over 1050m.
The Tony Sears-trained runner is rarely out of the finish and battled on pretty well to finish third over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast last start.
Live Fast has a very good record over this trip and with the much needed apprentice claim gets in well today and will be ultra competitive once again.
This shapes up as a very nice race for the rising five-year-old and if he gets some luck from the awkward barrier he can get the job done here.
Good luck!
