Back to Morphettville Parks this week on a day of mainly small fields.
Tony McEvoy is having some trot with his youngsters so why not stick with him as Aristocratic Miss makes her return from a slashing debut.
In the G3 Ottawa Stakes, the daughter of Foxwedge ran on strongly into third spot. That was a very decent juvenile race on Melbourne Cup day.
She also gets the services of Jamie Kah and as long as there are no elite 2yos hidden away here, fancy her exposed form sets her up well.
You’d expect she would be on a Blue Diamond path at some time too and has already been supported which is a positive.
Onto the last where an ex-Victorian tries to kick off in SA with a win.
Battlecamp has always shown ability but has had issues and found them in races. When showing his best like he did at Sandown early last year, he is hard to beat.
He usually runs a good race fresh and being by Shocking, will want this to be a decent test over the 1250m but not wanting to get too far back in running.
Would therefore love to see him land midfield and in this sort of company he could do that.
Really loved his trial getting ready for the first run for the new camp. Appears great each way value.
