The Jim Taylor trained Perceptive Miss took a good step forward in the Ascot 1000 Guineas last start and appears well placed to break back into the winner's stall at Ascot on Friday.

Having won her two starts prior to contesting the Listed event, Perceptive Miss clearly wasn't suited by the moderate tempo and was one of the runs of the race.

Forced to travel wide throughout, she kept coming right to the line and appears set to relish the step up to 2100m.

With the added aid of the claim she appears well placed and looks to have a decent edge on her rivals.

While her racing pattern (backmarker) is against, hoping she can adopt a more forward position stepping up to 2100m.

Only lightly raced she has continued to improve with each performance and does strike a fairly modest affair.

If able to repeat the level of her last start performance she is sure to be right in the finish.

The Alan Mathews trained Send My Love is the current favourite and while beating Perceptive Miss home in the Guineas, she had all the favours on-speed and did appear to be flattered in the event.

With luck in running Perceptive Miss should be very hard to beat.

In the final event the Team Williams trained Magical Charm appears very well placed stepping up to 2200m.

An impressive winner two back, Magical Charm went on to only be narrowly beaten behind Plays The Game last start, form which has since been franked with the latter finishing a close fourth in the Listed Bunbury Cup.

She strikes a very weak race and with better than even money on offer she appears a good bank builder for Saturday.
