Morphettville Parks hosts some black type standard horses on Saturday.
The feature race of the day is the Listed Oaklands Plate which has produced some lovely two year olds in the past.
We fancy there is value in a filly who has shown plenty so far in the form of the Matt Cumani trained Anthemoessa.
After running so well in the Classic at Ballarat on Cup day, she placed in town and then was never a factor in the Magic Millions race on the Gold Coast but that was a mixed up race.
They needed some confidence so went to Wangaratta, got a sweet run but then charged through a gap to draw away.
She looks like she will lap up the 1400m on a bigger track. We might get some lovely odds jumping from a soft barrier.
Later in the day and out to the mile, thinking Laure Me In really was craving that which was no surprise given his breeding and he can be the best.
He sat midfield and wound over the top as an odds on favourite on this course.
This doesn’t appear a race that much harder and so fancy he’ll be fine staying at the same distance.
From the barrier, he’ll likely get back anyway but the pace should be sufficient. Happy to be in the corner of McEvoy and Kah too.
