On a rich day of racing at Caulfield, we’re hoping to be a little closer to that after backing a few winners.
From a lovely gate and getting to an even better journey, happy to think Tarwin will only keep getting better and is the best of the day.
He came from a long way back to round them up at this track two weeks ago.
Now getting to the mile, he may not get back so far in this field. You’d think the Americain bloodlines will only develop third up.
Beau Mertens has had experience on him previously so the jockey change isn’t a big factor.
Thinking we may get better odds than currently on offer as well.
For the value runner we’ll go to the big race of the day and tip Groot to be charging home into the finish.
This colt by Fighting Sun has only had two runs with the first put straight into a Blue Diamond Prelude where he battled on really well.
He then had a let up and a trial before resuming when hard in the market at Bendigo. He came from a long way back into third.
Now with another furlong to run, he will likely be around midfield and swooping into it. Craig Williams has taken over for Maher/Eustace and we are getting a great price here.
