Midweek racing from Geelong and Warwick Farm and we've got a horse to follow from each meeting.
Geelong Race 7 - Interpretation
He's ticking along beautifully for a third crack at the Melbourne Cup and looks to be set to run a new peak getting to Flemington next start. He looked in the wildnerness to start the campaign before rattling home from a horrible spot in the Bart Cummings and again here, getting back in the field and running on strongly late to grab second. He was no match for the winner there but he didn't need to win this to make the Cup field, where he'll get in with 50kg. Whether he has the class to win a Melbourne Cup remains to be seen, but he'll run a big race.
Warwick Farm Race 1 - Superhero
Keen to follow this race as a whole because they've run good time, around four lengths faster than the BM72 on the same day which is a good sign for a maiden. The first four across the line here have gone well, with Superhero just having to get over heels in the straight, runnning on strongly to just miss the winner who got going earlier. He should prove very hard to beat next time out in a similar maiden.
