Morphettville Parks Race Review on 16th November 2024

Jockey Lachlan continued his good run when he rode Jenkins to a win in the 1550 metre opening race on the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday.


An improved horse since entering the Phillip Stokes stable Jenkins came from last with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Although he missed the first two months of the season Manuel Nunes is quickly making up for lost time when he rode Dancing Storm  to a win in the 1250 metre second race.

Prepared by Richard and Chantelle Jolly Dancing Storm led for most of the journey.

The Morphettville stable of Phillip Stokes brought up a double when Global Turn took out the 1250 metre third race.

Having the services of Kayla Crowther Global Turn gradually improved from a rearward position to win.

The Richard and Chantelle Jolly stable trained its second winner for the day when Great Maximus took out the 1250 metre fourth race.

Great Maximus  came from a midfield position and showed his class when he took on the opposition half way down the straight.

Kayla Crowther brought up her second winner for the day when she rode Sir Kingsford to success in the 2250 metre fifth race.

Prepared at Gawler by Gary and Nichole Searle and Brianna Callanan Sir Kingsford led all the way.

Jockey Todd Pannell landed his second winner in twenty-four hours when Proven Correct took out the 1550 metre fifth race.

Coming off a last start third on the Parks track the Andrew Gluyas prepared Proven Correct led all the way.

The six-year-old gelding Eaglelou  won his first race in two years when he took out the 1550 metre seventh race.

Giving the provincial track of Gawler its second win for the day the Darron Magro and Aimee Bush prepared apprentice Alana Livesey ridden Eaglelou came from a midfield position to win his fourth race from thirty-three starts.

In one of the closest finishes in quiet a while apprentice Zoe Lloyd brought up  her second city winner when she rode Cool Magnum to victory in the 1000 metre final event.

Scoring by a nose her John Hickmott and Carrina Riggs prepared Cool Magnum came from a worse than midfield position.
