Black Tycoon recorded the 10th win of his career taking out the Listed Tattersall's Cup at Ascot.
The eight-year-old had a good run in sixth place, one off the rails, following a moderate tempo.
He switched three deep rounding the home turn, hit the front at the 200m marker and battled on well under the urgings of Douglas Whyte and lasted to win by a short neck, putting up a solid staying effort.
Knightlike was back about ninth coming to the turn. He went wide on turning for home and kept responding to riding, running on well for a good second.
Daneclicked was about sixth to the turn, was ridden hard on turning for home and ran on late to grab third.
The favourite Rohan ($2.25) was near the rear, wide with cover but was ridden hard from the 600m point and made some ground in the sprint home but was still disappointing in finishing (three and half lengths) eighth.
