Fontiton wins 2015 Sportingbet B.D. Prelude-F Group 2 $200,000 at Caulfield (VIC) 2yo Fillies, 1100m.
Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) favourite Fontiton consolidated her claims for that race by winning impressively in fast time. She settled back in fourth place, following a solid tempo. She was asked for her effort on rounding the home turn, got to the front at the 100m and then drew clear to win by a length and three quarters.
Miss Gidget, a maiden after two previous runs, tracked the leader, moved up well coming to the home turn, got to a narrow lead nearing the 100m and fought on particularly well for a very promising second.
Flamboyant Lass travelled nicely in third place, challenged at the 200m and battled on well for a good third.
Air Apparent was eased from her wide barrier (12), raced back in tenth place to the 600m and made good ground for a promising (3.4 lengths) fourth.
Heatherly, who was stepping up significantly in class after winning recently on debut, showed very good pace and ran along at a good tempo, only tiring from the 100m, running a bold race for (3.8 lengths) fifth.
Second favourite Secret Agenda settled well back and never looked a chance before finishing a disappointing (7.5 lengths) 11th.
