The Grey Flash wins 2015 William Hill Sa Sires Produce Group 3 $115,000 at Morphettville Parks (SA) 2yo, 1400m.
The Grey Flash settled in sixth place on the rails travelling well behind a steady tempo (first 800m 49.64). She improved between runners, in a packing field, nearing the home turn and switched into clear running on straightening. She then sprinted well, got to the front at the 100m and fought back to win well by a neck.
Petracca was fifth, one off the rails, but was under riding as he fanned deep rounding the home turn. He challenged at the 100m and fought on well for a good second.
The favourite Caro Kann raced in an ideal position, fourth one out and one back. He moved up, tending to veer wide at the home turn, but he looked the winner at the 200m before battling on quite well for third.
