Mr Favulous wins 2015 Audi Ctre Toowoomba Weetwood Listed $150,000 at Toowoomba (QLD) , 1200m.
Mr Favulous, after eleven placings from 16 starts since winning at this track in May last year, broke through for his first win since then in taking out this Listed race. He was ridden hard (from barrier 10) in the early stages by Jeff Lloyd and eventually crossed to the lead at the 700m. He then travelled nicely, got a break at the 150m and went on to win well by a length.
Pillar Of Creation was a handy fourth, between runners, challenged half-way down the straight and then fought on for second after appearing to have every chance.
Choice Bro settled near last on the rails from barrier two, got a run through on straightening and kept making ground for a sound third.
Favourite Mount Nebo settled midfield on the rails from his inside barrier (1), had clear running from the 200m and fought on for (2.6 lengths) fourth, after appearing to have every chance.
