Flippant wins 2015 Pryde Easifeed Woodlands Stks Listed $140,000 at Scone (NSW) 2yoFillies, 1100m.
Flippant was quickly away from her wide barrier (11) and immediately crossed to the lead. She then travelled particularly well in front, setting a good tempo. She skipped clear at the 300m and was never threatened from that point, being eased down in the latter stages to win by just over two lengths and in smart time. It was an impressive effort.
Coolmore-raced Harlem River was back in seventh place, one off the rails. She was under riding nearing the home turn, took a while to wind up but then ran on well for a good second on debut. She will appreciate further and looks quite promising.
Miss Antaeus was ridden quietly from her wide barrier (12) and settled at the tail of the 13-horse field. She got a split between runners on turning for home and continued to make good ground, getting up in time to take third. It was a good effort and she too will appreciate further and looks to have a good future.
