Cosmic Storm wins 2015 Belmont Oaks Listed $100,000 at Belmont Park (WA) 3yoFillies, 2000m.
Cosmic Storm scored a good win. She settled particularly well in seventh place on the rails, stuck to the inside and got a good run through from the 700m before switching across heels on turning for home. She then ran on well, hit the front at the 100m and then drew clear to win in good style. It was also a very good ride by Peter Hall.
Fo' Shizzle went to the front and then set a moderate mid-race pace before sprinting clear on straightening. She then battled back well, when challenged to finish a sound second.
Indi Pacific raced outside the leader to the home turn and kept fighting on quite well to hold third.
Favourite Keysbrook was disadvantaged by the steady early tempo. She was back in eighth place, between runners, was under riding as the pace increased nearing the home turn and took quite a while to wind-up, rallying late for (2.3 lengths) a good fourth.
