Addictive Habit wins 2015 Lisa Chittick Foxbridge Plate Group 2 NZ$100,000 at Te Rapa (NZ), 1200m.
Addictive Habit scored a tenacious victory. He settled three wide in fourth place for Sam Spratt behind a strong pace set by outsider Aaja Nachle. He moved to third at the 600m still three wide but fought strongly to hold out fast finishing Kawi, who came from a mid-field rails position. He was switched wide with 300 metres to go and rounded the race off well.
Tomorrowland had trailed the pacemaker and battled strongly along the rail for third ahead of Whosyourmaster making up a huge amount of ground after settling a distinct last and he finished on terms with The Filly, who settled just behind the pace early.
After a protest lodged by connections of Whosyourmaster for interference at the 300 metre pole, Kawi was relegated to fifth promoting Tomorrowland to second and Whosyourmaster and The Filly to a dead-heat for third. Soriano hit the line powerfully for sixth behind Kawi and favourite Ryan Mark weakened on his run to finish seventh.
