Vanbrugh wins 2015 Gloaming Stakes Group 3 $200,000 at Rosehill (NSW) 3yo, 1800m.
Vanbrugh won in most decisive fashion. He was ridden patiently by Hugh Bowman and settled nicely back in eighth place, following a good tempo. He commenced his run nearing the 600m, fanned deep at the home turn, dashed to the front at the 200m and then drew away to score most impressively. It was an impressive win and he looks set for even bigger things.
Tatoosh remained in last place in the 12-horse field to the 700m. He went deep at the home turn, put in a solid run getting to second at the 100m and battled gamely to hold that position at the post, in good performance.
Man Of Choice settled well in seventh place on the rails before switching deeper on turning for home. He got to third at the 200m and then battled on well to take the minor placing, putting up quite a good run.
Clash Of Clans went to the front and ran along at a good pace. He was overtaken at the 200m and then held on fairly well after his early efforts to finish (5 lengths) fourth.
