Serene Majesty wins 2015 Thoroughbred Club Stakes Group 3 $150,000 at Caulfield (VIC) 3yoFillies, 1200m.
Serene Majesty was ridden quietly, settled towards the tail of the nine-horse field, following a strong tempo and was last (under riding) at the home turn. She then switched deep, produced a great turn of foot to hit the front at the 50m and then went on to win impressively at her first Melbourne start. She is a smart filly, suited to further and looks to have a really bright future.
Secret Agenda was quickly away from her outside barrier (9) but could not cross clearly and was caught three deep, sharing the lead. She finally got the front at the 100m and then held on for a very good second after working on a strong pace throughout.
Harlem River had good trip in fourth place, wide with cover. She put in a run at the 200m and then kept fighting on well to take third after seeming to have every chance.
Irada was fifth, between runners, to the home turn and kept battling on well to hold a sound (2.4 lengths) fourth.
Serenade (5th, beaten 3.4 lengths) and Invincible Heart (6th, beaten 3.6 lengths) shared the lead and held on fairly well in the straight.
