Dublin Lass wins 2015 Hq Of Insurance Starlight Stks Listed $100,000 at Rosehill (NSW) 3yo+, 1100m.
Favourite Dublin Lass was quickly away and settled in third place on the rails, back several lengths from the free-running leader (Freeze The Charges). Kerrin McEvoy brought her with a well-timed run to challenge on passing the 200m, she hit the front the 100m and then fought back for a good win.
Freeze The Charges showed her usual pace and quickly set up a clear lead. She was overtaken at the 100m and then battled back well for a good second after her early efforts.
Howmuchdoyouloveme was ridden off the pace and settled back in fifth place, one off the rails. He commenced his run at the 200m and continued to make ground, without threatening, for a sound third.
Fiftyshadesofgrey was ridden quietly in fourth place on the rails. She stuck to the inner on turning for home and kept fighting on quite well for (1.4 lengths) fourth after seeming to have every chance.
Cradle Me was back in second last place in the seven-horse field and made some ground for (4.2 lengths) fifth while second favourite That's A Good Idea was back about four lengths, chasing the speedy leader, racing one off the fence, and struggled under his top weight (60kg) from the 200m to finish (4.6 lengths) sixth.
