Tally wins 2016 Autumn Classic Group 2 $200,000 at Caulfield (VIC) 3yo, 1800m.
Godolphin-raced colt Tally made it three wins in succession, scoring in good style here. He travelled well in sixth place, one off the rails, following a good pace. He made a strong wide move rounding the home turn, got to the front on passing the 200m and then drew away to score decisively, running the 1800m out well. It should appreciate further still.
Flying Light settled in fourth place (between runners) after being wide early on. He was under riding at the home turn, angled into clear running at the 200m and then battled on well for a good second.
Top Ravine was wide in the early stages and then raced outside the leader (Hoplites). He briefly got to the front on turning for home and then kept fighting on well for a sound third.
