Artistry wins 2016 Strathayr Newmarket Hcp Group 3 $125,000 at Rosehill (NSW), 1350m.
Consistent mare Artistry took her record to six wins from 12 starts in scoring her first stakes win here. She settled in eighth place, three wide with cover, switched wide rounding the home turn, put in a strong run (wide out) to hit the front at the 100m and then fought on to score well.
Nancy raced back in eighth place, between runners, got a split at the 200m, challenged at the 100m and the battled on gamely for a good second.
Amovatio was back in ninth place, wide with cover, eased deeper at the 300m and ran on well for third.
Sadler's Lake was seventh on the rails, got a clear run on the inner from the 200m and kept battling on for (2.4 lengths) fourth in a sound first-up effort.
