Choice Bro wins 2016 Audi Centre Toowoomba Weetwood Listed $150,000 at Toowoomba (QLD), 1200m.
Choice Bro put up a very good effort in winning here. He went back from his wide barrier (13) and settled in last place in the 14-horse field before commencing a wide run coming to the home turn. He went widest of all on straightening and put in a strong run to grab a narrow but impressive win right at the post.
Favourite, the Bjorn Baker-trained visitor Coolring had a good trip from his inside barrier (1) in fourth place on the rails, got a split on turning for home and looked the winner when he got to the front at the 100m. He was then caught on the post to finish a close second.
Pillar Of Creation settled midfield, before improving between runners from the 600m. He was held up on turning for home and then finished well when clear late for third, looking a little unlucky.
