Don't Doubt Mamma put up an impressive effort. She was eased in the early stages and settled back in second last place in the nine-horse field. She improved nicely, behind runners, rounding the home turn, switched deepest of all at the 150m and then came with a strong late run to score a very grab a very good win on the post.
The favourite Miss Gunpowder was a bit slow to move before getting along the rails from her inside barrier (1) to be fourth on the rails at the 600m. She got through to second at the home turn, looked the winner when she took the lead at the 100m and was only overhauled nearing the post for a very good second.
Super Cash settled in last place, was blocked on turning for home, eased deepest at the 150m and came with a late run to take a very good third, putting up a smart effort.
