Ravi wins 2016 Canadian Club Just Now Hcp Listed $100,000 at Eagle Farm (QLD) Fillies & Mares, 1300m.
Promising mare Ravi took her record to five wins from 11 starts in scoring her first stakes success in easy fashion here. She was eighth early on before going to sixth on the rails at the 600m. She switched deeper rounding the home turn, sprinted quickly to hit the front at the 200m and then raced away to win easily.
Unequivocal remained back in ninth place to the home turn, went wide on straightening and made late ground for second.
Sheiswhatsheis led the field until the 200m and then held on to take the minor placing while the second favourite Elegant Composure was seventh, one off the rails, but was under pressure from the 300m and just battled on for (7.3 lengths) sixth.
