Hey Doc wins 2017 Cs Hayes Stakes Group 3 $150,000 at Flemington (VIC) 3yoColts & Geldings, 1400m.
Hey Doc took his record to five wins from 11 starts with a really smart effort in winning his second stakes race here. He began quickly, settled well in sixth place (one off the rails), improved well on straightening, hit the front at the 200m and then went on to score quite impressively.
Malaise had a good trip in fourth place, one out and one back. He challenged at the 200m and then kept fighting on well for a good second.
Land Of Plenty raced in eighth place, improved (deep) from the 700m, was in a challenging position at the 200m and then kept fighting on well for a good third while Morton's Fork raced in seventh place on the rails, got between runners at the 300m and then kept battling on nicely for (3 lengths) fourth.
