The Baker/Forsman show keeps rolling along, adding yet another feature training success with Mime delivering after recent good form. She got away well yet rider Craig Grylls elected to ease back into sixth (rails) with a round to go. At the 800m she lost her place as the back runners passed to be second last (one out) turning in. Into the straight, instead of going wide, Grylls saw space one off the fence and ran up to the leaders, took over at the 200m then held off a couple of late challengers to score well by a long neck.

Endean Rose hugged the fence around the last corner in third, co-led briefly at the 200m and although passed by the winner, never gave up for a solid second.

Sofia Rosa made her move at the 600m, was widest but one turning in and ran on very well to grab third at the wire.

China Star led to the 250m and kept on well for fourth from Thee Auld Floozie who had every chance for a close up fifth.
