Dawn Wall wins 2017 2k T’breds Gold Coast Bracelet Listed $125,000 at Gold Coast (QLD), 1800m.
Dawn Wall was too classy, scoring an impressive win here. Rider Hugh Bowman shot the filly forward from barrier 11 to be handy early then dropped into a nice trail, one out and one back, down the back straight. Bowman let her go inside the 500m and they ranged up three wide of the lead prior to turning in then took over once the field straightened. She lengthened stride from the 250m and gave little else a chance to the line for a nice win.
The Pinnacle tracked the winner into the home straight and ran on quite well without ever looking like getting to the front yet had the rest covered.
Candika led into the straight and held on gamely for third from Invincibella, who ran on late to grab fourth.
