White Moss wins 2017 The Nivison Group 3 $150,000 at Randwick (NSW), 1200m.
The Jason Coyle-trained mare White Moss took her record to five wins from eight starts in taking her first Group success here. She was smartly away and then travelled well outside the leader (Diddums) before dashing to the front at the 300m. She was not seriously threatened from that point and went on to score quite impressively in good time (1:10.08).
Zestful had a good trip in third place, went to second at the 200m and kept fighting on well to hold that position, without troubling the winner.
Kinshachi raced in fifth place (with cover), put in a run from the 200m, got to third at the 100m and battled on nicely to take the minor placing.
Dixie Blossoms was sixth on the rails and kept fighting on along the inner in the straight for (2.2 lengths) fourth while her stablemate Daysee Doom had a good trip in fourth place and also kept battling on in the straight after seeming to have had every chance to finish (2.3 lengths) fifth.
Heavens Above raced near the tail of the field and caught the eye with her late-closing (2.4 lengths) sixth.
