Miracle Man wins 2018 Lex Piper Stakes Listed $100,000 at Ascot (WA), 1600m.
Miracle Man began with them then improved to sit outside the leader. Camping a half length back around the bend and entering the straight he ranged up and took over, pushing out to a length lead at the 100m, the break enough to hold on to by three quarters of a length, his third win (maiden stakes) in eight starts.
Action was second last into the straight and flew down the outer but too late from Media Baron who pulled out then switched back to the inner, flashing through to be a close third.
Sentimental Friend looked to hold second but was swamped late, almost in line with second and third.
