Morphettville Races Review on 30th November 2024

The Mick Price owned and partly trained with Michael Kent junior Panigale took out the opening race of 1000 metre on the Pars track at Morphettville on Saturday.

Registering his first win at start two the Manuel Nunes ridden Panigale led all the way.

Trainer Alex Rae kept the Cranbourne winners coming when Top Calibre  took out the 1250 metre second race.

Winning his third race in a row the Todd Pannell guided Top Calibre was one off the pace before going on to win late in the event.

Apprentice Taylor Johnstone kept her good run going when she rode Yuri Royal to a win in the 1950 metre third race.

Coming off a last start third on the Parks track and prepared by Richard and Chantelle Jolly Yuri Royale was in the leading division throughout the event.

Jockey Todd Pannell landed his second winner for the day when Spirit of Camelot took out the 1400 metre fourth race.

Prepared by Michael Hickmott at his Wellington property Spirit of Camelot was another winner to be in the leading division throughout the event.

Apprentice Alana Livesey landed her second win in two days when she rode Morris Minor  to a win in the 1550 metre fifth race.

Being under the care of Craig Curtis Morris Minor came from a better than midfield position to meet with success.

Manuel Nunes brought up a double when he rode Vintage Star to a win in the 1000 metre sixth race.

Winning his second successive race Vintage Star  led all the way to bring his co-trainers Richard and Chantelle Jolly a double.

Racing first up after a spell Millivoy gave his trainer Paula Trenwith a win in the 1000 metre seventh race.

Ridden by Jacob Opperman Millivoy came from well back with a saloon run along the rails.

Trainer Glenn Dix brought up his second win in nine years at Morphettville when his charge Tembu Boy took out the 2250 metre eighth race.

Bringing up his second straight win the Emily Finnegan ridden Tembu Boy raced in a forward position to win in a tight finish.

Apprentice Taylor Johnstone rode her second winner for he day and her third double since coming from Tasmania when she rode Nasho to victory in the 1400 metre final event.

Prepared by Shane and Cassie Oxlade at Woodchester Nasho led all the way to bring up his fourth win from nineteen starts.
