Midweek racing from Mornington and Wyong and we've got a horse to follow from each meeting.
Mornington Race 8 - Scottie's Legacy
Big run in defeat from this Te Akau favourite who won her maiden well on heavy ground two back, just left with too much to do here out to 2000m on a fast deck which really favoured those on speed. She was only having her fourth start here and looks a mare with a bit of staying promise. The overall time is good and while she'd probably prefer to be going into Winter and finding soft tracks, she'll relish 2400m and a bigger track in the near future.
Wyong Race 4 - Bauhinia
This was a big win on a track that wasn't easy to make ground, coming from well last to loop them and run down The Novelist who had put up a good number at Kembla Grange prior. Bauhinia was the three-year-old filly in this 3 & 4yo race and has shown good ability but looks to have really gone on with it first-up. It was the win of a good horse and one that can certainly be followed through the grades.
