Midweek racing from Mornington & Warwick Farm and we’ve got a horse to follow from each meeting.
Mornington Race 1 - Mary Eliza
Nice win from this well-bred daughter of dual NZ horse of the year Bonneval. She ran well in a good form reference at Seymour on debut but relished the rise to 1500m here, really letting down well over the final 200m to win in solid time. She'll get over plenty more ground in time and looks one to follow through the Summer months if the stable keep her in work.
Warwick Farm Race 6 – Outback Miss
Dominant win from Outback Miss who looked a very smart two-year-old in the Winter of 2023, winning twice on rain affected going, including a three-length victory on debut over the talented Nadal. She's had a couple of issues but was far too good here scoring by over four lengths. Whether she's just as capable on dry ground remains to be seen and this perhaps might not be her best time of year, but there could be a good win in store for her in the Autumn.
