The Tattersall's Club's New Year meeting at Warwick Farm on Monday is headlined by the traditional two $100,000, listed races; the Tattersall's Club Cup (2095m) and the Carrington Stakes (1100m).
The Tattersall's Club Cup has 14 nominations headed by the Gai Waterhouse trained King Lionheart along with the Chris Waller entries Alexander Of Hales (USA), Altered Boy and Wazn (IRE). Peter Snowden has Erewhon entered and the now Warwick Farm based Bjorn Baker has nominated Mr Tipsy (NZ).
The Carrington Stakes had 11 nominations including Keen Commander, Rain Affair and the Victorian First Command from Anthony Freedman's Rye stables. Gary Portelli has nominated last start winner Eight Bills.
There are a total of 113 nominations for the eight race programme with the rail out 2m for the entire circuit.
