The Gai Waterhouse-trained G1 winners will take part in the gallop as they prepare for busy autumn campaigns which are likely to culminate in the $2.25m The BMW (2400m) on April 7 at Rosehill.

Nominations for this year's The BMW close on Tuesday.

Outstanding French stallion Amercain, the 2010 Melbourne Cup winner now under the care of new trainer David Hayes, along with several other internationals are expected to headline the nominations.

Americain will be aiming to become the first Melbourne Cup winner since Makybe Diva in 2005 to complete The BMW – Melbourne Cup double.

Caulfield Cup winner Southern Speed, who won impressively first-up on Australia Day, may also be set for the BMW.

The BMW is Australia's only weight for age race over the classic distance of a mile and a half and this year's renewal on AAMI Golden Slipper Day is shaping as the best in recent years.
