Glyn Schofield will appeal the careless riding suspension he incurred at Wyong on Thursday which at this stage would see the jockey out for two weeks following Stradbroke Day.
Schofield incurred the suspension at Wyong yesterday in Race 5 after he permitted his mount and subsequent winner Dashing Fortune to shift in at the 1400m when insufficiently clear of eventual fourth placegetter Rock Formation.
Runner up Accretive also was hampered during the incident which resulted in Schofield being suspended for a period to commence on Sunday June 10 through to June 23.
The suspension would mean Schofield is still able to ride at Eagle Farm's bumper Stradbroke Handicap meeting on June 9.
The Sydney-based jockey has four rides at Eagle Farm tomorrow who include Dances On Stars, Sophie's Spirit, the promising Audacious Spirit and Dowager Queen in the Group 1 Queensland Oaks (2400m).
In other news out of the Stewards room, Diego Lima has had his appeal for a one month careless riding suspension incurred at Scone on May 19 dismissed.
His suspension commenced on May 23 and expires on June 20 on which he may ride.
