The David Brideoake and David Freek-trained mare was sent for a spell after a slashing second in the Brisbane Cup, before running fifth behind Southern Speed in the Makybe Diva Stakes last start.

“It was a very good first up run and she is in very good shape,” said Brideoake.

“I think she has improved from the run and we couldn't have her any better, everything is really positive barring the wide draw.”

Dance With Her will jump from the widest barrier of 16 runners with Dwayne Dunn maintaining the ride, only having missed the placings on the mare twice in 11 rides.

“Her preparation has been really good and she hasn't missed a beat it's just disappointing she has drawn so wide.

“There is some wet weather forecast for Friday and I will believe it when I see it but she runs well in the wet so that won't be a problem.

“She generally races forward and is very versatile.”

The six-year-old mare has a handy record at Moonee Valley and should relish the step up in trip having won four times from 12 attempts.

Brideoake said he will wait and see how she performs on Friday Night but is hopeful she can make her way into some nice races this spring.

“She races really well at the valley so she is tried and proven at the track, tried and proven at the distance and if we drew four or five we probably would have been pretty happy but it wasn't to be.

“She potentially in the next couple of runs if she was to win one of these races we would look at the Caulfield Cup or potentially even the Melbourne Cup.

“I think she has got good staying capacity but she now in her order of entry will obviously need to get a penalty to get a run.”

Dance with her is currently 44th on the Caulfield Cup order of entry and is currently on the fourth line of betting at $9 for Friday night with Excluded the dominant $2.90 favourite.
