NSW trainers completed their domination of the Melbourne spring carnival by providing the trifecta in the $1 million Patinack Farm Classic at Flemington on Saturday.

Horses prepared in NSW won 21 races at the feature carnival meetings over the last month including seven G1 events and collected more than $6 million prizemoney.
The run of success for NSW stables started on October 13 when Team Hawkes won the G1 Caulfield Guineas with Black Caviar's half brother All Too Hard.
Fellow Rosehill trainer Gerald Ryan also figured prominently on the Guineas program with a double courtesy of Snitzerland and Calvary Rose.
Other G1 wins followed in the Manikato Stakes (Sea Siren), Victoria Derby (Fiveandahalfstar), Coolmore Stud Stakes (Nechita), Myer Classic (Appearance) and VRC Oaks (Dear Demi)
Derby Day at Flemington provided a feast for NSW trainers, winning six of the 10 races.
Randwick trainer Anthony Cummings landed a big double with Fiveandahalfstar and Fontelina (Yellowglen Stakes) and his legendary father Bart Cummings also featured with Lunar Rise winning the Carbine Club Stakes.

Sydney's premier trainer Chris Waller struck with Kelinni in the G2 Lexus Stakes and he backed up with another winner Arinosa at Flemington on Melbourne Cup day. Paul Messara (Mahisara) and Peter Snowden (Genteel) also won races on Melbourne Cup day.
Newcastle trainer Paul Perry landed a Moonee Valley win on Cox Plate day with Hidden Warrior while Caulfield Cup day was another red letter day with NSW stables winning four Group and Listed races with Streama (Guy Walter), Lightinthenite (John O'Shea), Howmuchdoyouloveme (Con Karakatsanis) and Mrs Onassis (Gerald Ryan).
Ryan and Snowden were the most successful NSW trainers over the carnival with three wins each.
Punters following the NSW trainers may have had a profitable carnival.
If they were favourite backers they certainly didn't, especially over the four days of Melbourne Cup week at Flemington.
Across the 37 races at Flemington only eight Super TAB favourites won.
Nine winners paid more than $15 at dividends up to $51.30 for Oaks day winner Flying Skipper. Other long priced winners included Fiveandahalfstar ($19.30), Appearance ($43.80), Kasane ($28.70), Koonoomoo ($23.30), Green Moon ($22.50), General Truce ($16.30), Direct Charge ($17.90) and Eximius ($31.80).
The average winning dividend for each winner over the four days was $12.49.
The final day of the four-day carnival, Emirates Stakes Day, proved the most favourable day for punters with an average dividend of $11.22.
The average price for each winner on Melbourne Cup day was $11.99 and $12.18 on Derby Day.
Oaks Day was the toughest with an average dividend of $14.64.
