Gai Waterhouse has retired Reuben Percival after the seven-year-old stayer sustained a tendon injury.
And in a further blow to the stable, import Carlton House has been spelled ruling him out of next weekend's Group 1 Epsom Handicap (1600m).
The horse was withdrawn from the Epsom earlier this week before confirmation he had been spelled for the spring.
Carlton House ran 13th in the Group 2 Ajax Stakes (1500m) earlier this year, his only run since moving to Australia.
Reuben Percival meanwhile retires with five wins to his name including last year's Listed Winter Cup (2400m).
