Baker has arranged for It's A Dundeel to have an exhibition gallop during the Thousand Guineas meeting at Caulfield on Wednesday and will follow up with a fast gallop at Moonee Valley next Tuesday.

It's A Dundeel came off the easy list late last week. He galloped at three-quarter pace over 1200m at Flemington on Saturday and was taken to the beach on Sunday.

* TALENTED Queensland jockey Damian Browne is sweating in more ways than one over his first chance to ride in the Caulfield Cup.

Browne is on standby to ride Kiwi mare Quintessential, but the booking depend on the Cup weights being raised if the Loyd WiIliams-owned Green Moon and Sea Moon are acceptors.

Browne needs the weights to go up at least 1kg to give him a chance of wasting to ride Quintessential at 53.5kg.

Williams has promised to reveal his Caulfield Cup team from his seven entries on Monday afternoon ahead of Tuesday's acceptance deadline.

The short list is headed by Fawkner with Green Moon and Masked Marvel possible. Sea Moon, Seville, Mourayan and Tanby are expected to take different paths.

* TOP Newcastle trainer Kris Lees is building a strong arsenal for a late assault on the Melbourne spring carnival.

Impressive import Salon Soldier and the in-form mare Sharnee Rose booked their berths with their wins at Randwick on Saturday and they will be joined by Emotional Circus if she produces good first-up form when she resumes at Randwick this Saturday in the G3 Nivison.

Lees is setting Salon Soldier and Sharnee Rose for G1 races at Flemington on Derby Day. He has tabbed the Myer Stakes for Angst Stakes winner Sharnee Rose and is confident Salon Soldier is worthy of a start in the Mackinnon Stakes if he can make the field.

The fall back plan for Salon Soldier is a Listed race over 1800m on Melbourne Cup day.

* CRACK sprinter Buffering is back on track after recovering from a stone bruise that he picked up after his gallant Moir Stakes effort at Moonee Valley behind Samaready.

He sprinted up at Flemington on Saturday morning with his rider Damian Browne reporting that he felt good and had a good blow after the gallop.

* CLASSY Kiwi mare Postman's Daughter may have earned a crack at Group One company in Melbourne following her win in the G3 Taranaki Breeders' Stakes at Hawera on Saturday.

Her connections indicated a hit and run trip to Melbourne for the Myer Classic over 1600m at Flemington on November 2 is on the cards.

* SHAMUS Award, who ran home hard from last for an excellent third in the Caulfield Guineas, is set to have his next start in either the Mitchelson Wines Vase at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate day or Carbine Club Stakes at Flemington on Derby Day.

Shamexpress Picture: Racing and Sports

* NEWMARKET Handicap winner Shamexpress has left quarantine at Werribee following his return from the UK and will be back working at his home training base at Flemington this week.

Trainer Danny O'Brien is set to give Shamexpress a jump out at Flemington on Friday ahead of the G1 Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley on October 25.

Shamexpress, who hasn't raced since he failed in the July Cup at Newmarket in July, also has the G1 Patinack Farm Classic at Flemington on November 9 on his agenda.

* CHRIS Munce will be reunited with the Kelso Wood trained Sizzling at the Melbourne carnival.

Munce will be the rider when Sizzling makes his Melbourne debut in the G2 Crystal Mile at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate Day.

Munce has ridden Sizzling in 16 of his 21 starts, including all of his seven wins. Tim Clark had the mount at his last start when seventh in the Epsom Handicap at Randwick.

* HIGH class Red Ransom filly Thump has been sold by Patinack Farm to Hunter Valley nursery Cressfield.

Thump, who has raced nine times for two wins in the G2 Silver Shadow Stakes at Warwick Farm and the G3 Champagne Stakes at Moonee Valley, will remain in training with John Thompson for the G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington on November 2.

* FRENCH jockey Thomas Huet's ride on Queenstown at Randwick on Saturday earned him a rebuke from stewards and a warning that his licence to ride in city races may be in jeopardy.

Huet was put on notice that he needs to be more competitive after he sat three wide on Queenstown in the G3 Angst Stakes before she finished second. He was warned him that he will be sent to the Riding Skills Panel for remedial training if he doesn't improve and his suitability to ride in the metropolitan area will be reassessed.

Huet has been riding successfully for the Gai Waterhouse stable and is eager to settle in Australia permanently.
