Favourite Vanbrugh has drawn gate six in a field of 10 for Saturday’s Group 1 Moet & Chandon Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) at Randwick.
A last start winner of the Gloaming Stakes, Vanbrugh will be ridden by Glyn Schofield and is one of two runners for Chris Waller, with stablemate Devil Hawk drawing barrier two for Tye Angland.
Corey Brown will ride Gloaming and Spring Stakes runner-up Tatoosh, who drew gate four for Paul Perry.
Queensland trainer Desleigh Forster has a pair of runners including progressive colt Too Good To Refuse who drew gate three for Robbie Fradd with Tim Clark aboard stablemate I’m Belucci.
Man of Choice (Sam Clipperton) drew the rails while Gold Ambition (Brenton Avdulla) has the outside gate.
Last start Melbourne winner Jadeer (Tommy Berry) has gate five with Flying Achilles (Joshua Parr) in seven and Hierarchal (Jason Collett) jumping from eight.
Vanbrugh is a dominant favourite with TAB fixed odds betting at $1.80.
Tatoosh is second pick at $6 ahead of Too Good To Refuse at $8 and Jadeer at $9.50.
Man Of Choice is an $11 chance with Devil Hawk and Gold Ambition both $15.
I’m Belucci and Hierarchal are both trading at $26 with Flying Achilles the $51 outsider.
